The yearly precipitation here at Black Shadow Lake is about average; all through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. For the period of the summertime, highs mostly are in the 80's at Black Shadow Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. During the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's; after the sun       is down through the winter temperatures at Black Shadow Lake drop into the-10's. A wonderful close by hotel is Red Roof Inn Brainerd, MN; Black Shadow Lake is a magnificent site to visit for more than one day, Hickory Lake Campground is a magnificent site to camp nearby. If you need a place to stay Garrison Inn and Suites is a delightful choice, and do go to Farm Island Lake, it's a pretty lake. Take a hike on the Switzerland Trail.
