Stay the night at Shady River Campgrounds, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Larsen Slough is right nearby. During the days of summer at Birch Lake highs are commonly in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 20's, and night lows in the-10's for Birch Lake.
