Wilderness Campgrounds is a delightful local campground, and Americinn - Moose Lake, Mn is a delightful location to get some rest. Kettle River is a great whitewater spot near Big Sink Hole, and enjoy a round of golf at Sandstone Area Country Club. From a rainfall point of view Big Sink Hole is a rather typical site; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and       February is the month with the least moisture. If the weather is good here at Big Sink Hole, you can go for a hike along the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail. Through the warm days of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Big Sink Hole with overnight lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's while Big Sink Hole nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful.
