Go to Big Rosendal Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Giants Ridge is in the vicinity of Big Rosendal Lake, and camping at Big Rosendal Lake is brilliant fun, Pfeifer Lake Campground is a brilliant local campground. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! The Mesabi Range is excellent!. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. This is a wonderful vicinity for folks who like lakes. | | around here; obviously Maki Creek is a scenic stream that is worth visiting.
Through the summer months highs here at Big Rosendal Lake reach the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 10's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Big Rosendal Lake fall into the-10's. the least amount of precipitation. This lake is one of the great places here in the Mesabi Range.
Go for a hike on the Taconite Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Little Fork
River. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Mesabi Range. Why not camp at Wakemup Bay Campground since you're here at Big Rosendal Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Budget
Host Virginia. This lake is so wonderful. There are some fine whitewater spots on Vermilion River; Elbow Lake Lodge is a glorious place to get some rest.
