enjoyable stuff to do at Big Rice Lake, so little time. Hiking along the Taconite Trail is tremendous fun, and Hinsdale Island Campground is a brilliant campground nearby. Big Rice Lake is a good place of normal rainfall; most of
the rain falls through June, and February meanwhile is the driest month. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting stuff to do in the Mesabi Range. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Giants Ridge, and a magnificent nearby hotel is Budget Host Virginia.
