If you need a place to stay Travelodge Hinckley is a good choice; do take a hike on the East White Pine Truck Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant nearby hotel is Hinckley-Days Inn; Big Pine Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Waldheim Resort is a delightful local campground. Big Pine Lake is a delightful lake in close proximity to Big Pine Lake, and the Herubin Truck Trail offers       hiking at its best. At Big Pine Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's, and overnight lows at Big Pine Lake during the winter generally fall into the-10's. Big Pine Lake Dam has nice water scenery and it's near Big Pine Lake; Snake River is a tremendous whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful lake like Rhine                  Lake next to Big Pine Lake is a nice spot to stop at, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Giese Truck Trail. So many enjoyable things to do here at Big Pine Lake, too good to be true. Camping at Bremen Woods Resort and Campground is always a perfect experience; a perfect place for whitewater paddling is Kettle River.
