For the period of the summer here at Big Pine Lake, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are typically in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Big Pine Lake are in the-10's. Big Pine Lake Dam is a site that is near Big Pine Lake; Big Pine Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Waldheim Resort       is a great place to camp nearby. Drift down the rapids of Kettle River in a kayak, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Hinckley-Days Inn. Big Pine Lake is right by the East White Pine Truck Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Snake River offers some tremendous whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Big Pine Lake gets a normal amount of annual rain; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Big Pine Lake, too great to be true. The Giese Truck Trail offers hiking at its best.
