This lake is so wonderful. Monticello Country Club is a splendid golf course nearby, and a scenic lake like Lake Mitchell is a great location to check out. Big Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; during the month of June you get the most rain around here while February is typically the driest month. Summertime highs at Big Lake usually       tend to be in the 80's while overnight lows are typically in the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Big Lake dip into the 0's. Stay the night at Shady River Campgrounds, and Best Western Chelsea Inn & Suites is a tremendous place to get some rest. Man, is there a lot of exciting things to do close to Big Lake.
