Head up to Lutsen and strap some skis to your feet, and camping at Two Island Lake Campground is always a delightful experience. Throughout the summertime months at Bet Lake highs are frequently in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. amount of precipitation. Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Bet Lake. If you need a place to stay The Mountain Inn is a magnificent choice, and Brule Bay is not far at all. This lake
is so wonderful. A delightful location for whitewater paddling close to Bet Lake is Cascade River; not far from Bet Lake you'll discover Rug Lake which is a stunning lake.

 | Echo is a nice lake to stop and drop a line when in the Schroeder tofte area. It is just up the road from Nine mile lake campground and has an easy to catch supply of small trout. Two Island Lake Campground
 | 11 miles away I have only been there in the winter waiting for the mushers to come through (for the Beargease Marathon), it is where I want my ashes to be. I missed one year of the Beargrease race (1998) but the next year I was there at Two Island it was a full moon and it was snowing at the same time, could see down the trail like it was daylight but it was snowing....that was my sign...like I didn't fall in love with it before...this is a beautiful place, small camground but nice in the summer. jkf... |
