Going for a hike along the Taconite Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and if you come at the right time of year, Sturgeon River offers some perfect whitewater. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Mesabi Range. Why not camp at Vermilion Motel and RV Park while you're here at Belmont Lake, and a golf course nearby is Wolfridge Golf Course. Through the summer at Belmont Lake temperatures are commonly in       the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Belmont Lake. Belmont Lake is a location that is quite dry ordinarily; June is the wettest month with most rain; February is when it's the driest. This lake is one of the great places here in the Mesabi Range. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Belmont Lake. Float down the rapids of Little                  Fork River in a kayak; there's some flowing water close by, Watercress Creek is a stream you can explore while here. Midway Motel is a good local campground; Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites MOUNTAIN IRON (VIRGINIA) is a delightful site to get some rest. Little Sand Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and after a long day outdoors Americinn - Mt Iron, Mn is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. All the outdoors entertaining things in the Mesabi Range will keep you coming back over and over.
