There's so much to do here at Belly Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Devil Lake Campground is a brilliant site for that, and hiking along the Height of Land Portage is glorious fun. If you need a place to stay Eagle Ridge Resort at Lutsen Mountains is a delightful choice, and on a delightful day you get a perfect sight of Eagle Mountain from Belly Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Belly Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cascade

| | River Campground, and Belly Lake is right by the South Lake Portage. Really fine skiing awaits you at Lutsen, and Vireo Lake is a splendid lake nearby.
If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Belly Lake. Hand Creek flows through this vicinity, and a delightful lake like Whale Lake is a tremendous location to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the North Shore State Trail. This lake is so wonderful. | |

Two Island Lake Campground
 | I have only been there in the winter waiting for the mushers to come through (for the Beargease Marathon), it is where I want my ashes to be. I missed one year of the Beargrease race (1998) but the next year I was there at Two Island it was a full moon and it was snowing at the same time, could see down the trail like it was daylight but it was snowing....that was my sign...like I didn't fall in love with it before...this is a beautiful place, small camground but nice in the summer. jkf... |
