Hoodoo Point Campground is a great local campground, and close by you find the Taconite Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. There are other locations here than Beaver Lake, for example Duck Lake, and after a long day outdoors Americinn - Mt Iron, Mn is a splendid location to spend a night or two. Beaver Lake is located in the Mesabi Range. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Beaver       Lake. Lakes? Sure, Hay Lake is close by. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Beaver Lake; most of the rain falls all through June; the driest month of the year is February. At Beaver Lake all through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Beaver Lake temperatures fall to the-20's. This lake is so                  wonderful. Hit the slopes at Giants Ridge close at hand, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Canfield Portage.
