Not far from Bear Lake, you'll stumble on Bean Lake which is a lovely lake, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the North Shore Snowmobile Trail. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Silver Bay Country Club. High temperatures at Bear Lake through the summer are in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Silver Bay Koa Kampground is a delightful spot for that.
A splendid close by hotel is Cove Point Lodge, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend
Beaver River. A normal amount of rain falls here at Bear Lake; most of the rain falls through June, and February on the other hand is the driest.
