If you are in this part of Minnesota make sure to pay a visit to Bear Lake. While you're here at Bear Lake you can take a hike along the Moosewalk Snowmobile Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Beaver River - E.Br offers some fine whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Beaver River - W.Br, and if you need a site to stay Beaver Bay Inn is a good choice. The yearly rainfall here at Bear Lake is about average;

Cedar Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Bear Lake has to offer, you can camp at Silver Bay Koa Kampground.
Bear Lake is not the only location close by, Milepost Seven Tailings Ponds is a close by lake It's always delightful to visit Glenn Avon Falls. For the period of the summertime highs here at Bear Lake get into the 70's, and throughout
the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Bear Lake are in the 0's.
