Going for a hike on the Great Cherry Portage is always a good adventure, and you can stay the night at Kimball Lake Campground. This lake is so wonderful. The Lesser Cherry Portage is a delightful hiking trail near Bean Lake, and whitewater paddling is great on Devil Track River.       This lake is so wonderful. Having a magnificent time at Bean Lake is easy. If you need a place to stay Best Western Superior Inn & Suites is a glorious choice; Grand Portage National Monument is a fine local destination. There is a wonderful hiking trail near Bean Lake called the Vaseux Portage; Bean Lake is not the only site close by, Pierz Lake is a close by lake. A lake close by is South Bean Lake, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can                  always go whitewater paddling on Brule River. Bean Lake gets a typical amount of rainfall; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. All through the warm months at Bean Lake highs are commonly in the 70's while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's.
