And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do in the vicinity of Bay Lake. Going for a hike on the Sugar Lake Trail System is always a splendid adventure, and Cedar Point Resort is a great local campground. Nearby lakes? Sure, Little Deer Lake is near Bay Lake, of course you could also pop by Hanson Lake while you're here;       it's not far at all. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Bay Lake, and the overnight is somewhat cooler of course, typically in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are commonly in the 10's, and nighttime lows throughout the winter for Bay Lake tend to be in the-10's. Bay Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. Wendigo Lodge Golf Conference is a good spot to get some                  rest; if you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Deer Lake Dam. This lake is so wonderful. Blueberry Hills Golf Course is a delightful golf course close by, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Grand Rapids is a splendid spot to spend a night or two. Near Bay Lake you stumble on the Suomi Hills Trail System which is a good hiking trail, and swing by Island Lake Creek it's a tremendous spot to visit.
