There's so much to do here at Bay Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Big Sandy Camp is a wonderful spot for that. Bay Lake is in close proximity to Cornish Flowage Dam which is a beautiful location definitely worth going to. Bay Lake is a good place of typical precipitation; through the month of June you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is February.       A perfect nearby hotel is Country Inn By Carlson Grand Rapids; if you came to camp Savanna Portage State Park is a wonderful spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful. You'll find a beautiful lake called Long Lake near Bay Lake, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Headboom Logging Trail. Summer at Bay Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's.
