Dry warm beds await you at Overlook, and in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Coppersmith Lake is a delightful lake right next door to Battle Lake, and there are magnificent spots to look at along the Valley River Trail. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Battle Lake; June is the wettest month with most rain while February is mostly       the driest month. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff near Battle Lake. Camping at Battle Lake is good fun, Stony Brook Campground is a good local campground. Why not camp at Thistledew Campground since you're here at Battle Lake; don't leave Battle Lake without first going for a hike along the Holstrum Spur Trail. Antler Lake Store & Motel is a fine site to get some rest, and you can go for a hike on the Wilson Lake Trail. For the period                  of the summer months at Battle Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's.
