The beauty of Bass Lake attracts many people from all around. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Mesabi Range will keep you coming back persistently. Bass Lake is not the only site nearby, Little Wasson Lake is a nearby lake; Bass Lake is right by the Wilson Lake Trail. Having a fine time at Bass Lake is simple. If you came for an overnight stay Thistledew Campground is a delightful spot to camp, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Wasson Lake Trail. It's amenities such as microwaves, good beds, reading lamps, TV/DVD's, lots of soft, hot water and decks or porches overlooking the lake that make cabins memorable. We're only 6 miles from Fergus Falls. As the largest city in west-central MN (population 13,000) it offers plenty of restaurants, shopping, a very fine historical museum, a Prairie Wetlands Learning Center and more. Pebble Lake Golf Course, a challenging 18 hole course, is 5 miles away.
There is plenty to do at the resort too. Swan Lake is known for its water clarity throughout the summer. Fishing is almost always good with a healthy supply of sunfish, crappies, northern and walleyes. Largemouth bass are definitely the most sought after fish the past few years... |
