This lake is located in the wonderful Mesabi Range. This lake is so wonderful. Jko Campground is a great local campground, and hiking along       the Valley River Trail is tremendous fun. A lake close by is Wasson Lake; if you need a location to stay Country Inn By Carlson Grand Rapids is a fine choice. If you came for an overnight stay Thistledew Campground is a delightful spot to camp, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Wasson Lake Trail. During the summertime months here at Bass Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. High                  temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 10's; throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Bass Lake temperatures fall to the-20's.
