Camp Buckskin is a fine local campground; there are other places here than Bass Lake, for example Schmidt Lake. A tour to Mississippi National River & Recreation Area is recommended, and a perfect close by hotel is Select Inn Maple Grove. All through the summer months, highs typically are in the 80's at Bass Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.       For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and night lows through the wintertime for Bass Lake tend to be in the 0's. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Bass Lake. Buck Hill is a very popular ski area nearby; if you need a site to stay Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis/Maple Grove is a great choice.
