     Bass Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Shady Oaks Campground is a pleasant local campground, and you're sure to encounter some smiling people from Mankato-North Mankato here. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lura Lake is right next door to Bass Lake, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Blue Earth is a magnificent choice. But wait, there's more to do close to Bass Lake. There's so much to do here at Bass Lake that you  
   need to camp here for a while, Natural Bridges is a brilliant place for that; good water scenery is available at Rice Lake Dam near Bass Lake. Throughout the days of summer at Bass Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Bass Lake are in the 0's.
You could also go to Rice Lake since you're here at Bass Lake; it's nearby,
 
               and dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Blue Earth, Mn. The annual precipitation here at Bass Lake is about average; July is when you get the most rain here; February is when it's the driest. You can never get enough of the good skiing at Mount Kato; why not stop at a swamp like Hart Lake while you're here at Bass Lake.

I loved Cedar Grove Campgrounds!!! I have some wonderful memories of this place. I was wondering if anyone knew if Cedar Grove campground is still open? I used to camp here as a child growing up and we stopped camping here due to the fact that we were told that it was being mined for the sand. Does anyone know if this is true? I would love to start camping there if they are open....
