You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Barwise Lake. Float down the rapids of Big Fork in a kayak, and going for a hike along the Wilson Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Mesabi Range. Hiking along the Skeeter Lake Trail System is tremendous fun. a brilliant choice. At Barwise Lake throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. During the wintertime highs are usually in the 10's with temperatures at Barwise Lake
dipping down into the-20's through winter nights.
Barwise Lake is a beautiful lake in the Mesabi Range. From a rainfall point of view Barwise Lake is a pretty normal place; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain,
and the driest month of the year is February. This is a great area for folks who like lakes. Marble Lake is a lake around here; you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Wasson Lake Trail.

We're only 6 miles from Fergus Falls. As the largest city in west-central MN (population 13,000) it offers plenty of restaurants, shopping, a very fine historical museum, a Prairie Wetlands Learning Center and more. Pebble Lake Golf Course, a challenging 18 hole course, is 5 miles away.
