Caribou Highlands Lodge is a pleasant place to get some rest, and close by you locate the Rib Lake Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. An average amount of rain falls at Barker Lake; all through August this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of Temperance River, and       dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Tofte, Mn. Some of the water nearby flows, like Barker Creek, and Barker Lake is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Crescent Lake Campground is a nice place to camp nearby. For the period of the days of summer at Barker Lake highs are regularly in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Barker Lake. Yep,                  outdoors entertaining stuff to do are really abundant here at Barker Lake. There is a brilliant hiking trail close to Barker Lake called the North Shore State Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Poplar River. Poplar River Campground is a pleasant campground nearby, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Christine Lake.
