Americinn - Tofte, Mn is a magnificent spot to get some rest, and the North Shore State Trail is a wonderful hiking trail close by. All through the months of summer here at Barker Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 10's, and overnight lows at Barker Lake during the winter       typically drop into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Poplar River; Lutsen has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff. Barker Lake is a good place of normal rain; the month with most of the rain is August, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious site to camp here at Barker Lake is Crescent Lake Campground. Nearby lakes? Sure, Christine Lake is in the neighborhood of Barker                  Lake; camping at Poplar River Campground is always a fine experience. This is a tremendous region for folks who like lakes. Pengar Lake is a lake close by, and there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Rib Lake Trail. But wait, there's more to do near Barker Lake. If the weather is pleasant here at Barker Lake, you can go for a hike along the Honeymoon Trail, and why not take a little trip to Barker Creek if you're here.
