Why not take a refreshing hike along the Skeeter Lake Trail System; if you came for an overnight stay Jko Campground is a tremendous site to camp. That right there is a lot of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the Mesabi Range has it all. The amount of rain that falls at Balsam Lake is close to the national average; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is February. Balsam Lake       is one of the lakes here in the Mesabi Range. Be careful coming to the Mesabi Range, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Dry warm beds await you at Budget Host Inn Grand Rapids; Swan Lake Resort is a pleasant campground nearby. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. There are other places here than Balsam Lake, for example King Lake; not far from Balsam Lake you'll discover Holmes Lake which is a pretty lake.
