Bakekana Lake is always a pleasure to visit. After a long day outdoors Americinn - Tofte, Mn is a magnificent location to spend a night or two; there are other sites here than Bakekana Lake, for example Elk Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Kawishiwi Lake Campground; if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Powwoun Trail. Going for a hike along the Old Pines Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.

Summer at Bakekana Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's.
