If you are in Lake county it's always a good idea to stop by Bakekana Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Powwoun Trail, and a great place to camp here at Bakekana Lake is Kawishiwi Lake Campground. The amount of rainfall that falls at Bakekana Lake is close to the national average; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Good hiking is available along the Old Pines Trail, and you're perhaps hooked on lakes, Balmy Lake is one of those nearby. Summertime highs at Bakekana Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 10's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Bakekana Lake tend to be in the-10's.
