Gunflint Pines is a great local campground, and lakes are such calm places, why not check out Rally Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are other locations here than Arc Lake, for example Flint Lake, and there are perfect places to explore along the Gneiss Trail. From a precipitation point of view Arc Lake is a reasonably normal site; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most; February on the other hand is the driest.
Arc Lake is a delightful location to visit for more than one day, Sawbill Campground is a delightful location to camp nearby; there's tremendous hiking along the Gneiss Lake Portage.
At Arc Lake during the warm months highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Arc Lake are in the-10's. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing

at Lutsen since you're here, and don't leave Arc Lake without first going for a hike along the Maraboeuf Lake Portage. Man, is there a heap of exciting things to do next to Arc Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Eagle Ridge Resort at Lutsen Mountains.
