Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Duluth North, Mn is a brilliant place to get some rest; Island Lake Dam is a place that is in the vicinity of Apple Lake. Nearby lakes? Sure, Island Lake Reservoir is near Apple Lake; you can run the rapids of Amity Creek. February is the month with the least moisture. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Airport is a glorious place to spend a night or two, naturally you could also stop by Island Lake Reservoir while you're here; it's not far at all.
This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Apple Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Island Beach Resort is a wonderful spot for that; a perfect place for whitewater paddling is Lester River.
