Whispering Pines Campground is a perfect campground nearby, and you'll stumble on a delightful lake called Camp Lake. High temperatures at Anderson Lake through the months of summer are in the 80's;       throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 10's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Anderson Lake temperatures descend to the-10's. Big Sandy Camp is a nice local campground, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Headboom Logging Trail. From a rain point of view Anderson Lake is a relatively normal site; most of the rain falls through June, and                  February meanwhile is the driest month.
