There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Anchor Lake. Anchor Lake is not the only spot close by, Murphy Lake is a close by lake, and if you came to camp Eveleth Veteran's Park is a delightful location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cloquet River; hey, Gotta ski right? Giants Ridge is a nice location to do that. Through the months of summer highs here at Anchor Lake       get into the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. All through the winter highs are mostly in the 10's, and nighttime lows at Anchor Lake through the winter commonly dip into the-10's. If you get bored of Anchor Lake, you could also pop by nearby Crystal Lake, and camping at Sherwood Forest Campground is always a tremendous experience. Anchor Lake is a place with many visitors from Duluth, and dry warm beds await you                  at Eveleth Super 8 Motel. Get dripping wet paddling on St. Louis River; if you need a place to stay Budget Host Virginia is a fine choice.
