But wait, there's more to do near Amik Lake. There is a brilliant hiking trail close to Amik Lake called the Simpson Creek Trail System, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can have a look at Amik Lake Dam. For the period of the summer, highs regularly are in the 70's at Amik Lake. All through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the       10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Amik Lake. There's so much to do here at Amik Lake that you need to camp here for a while, East Seelye Campground is a great place for that; if you've had enough of Amik Lake, Amik Lake is close by. Near Amik Lake you find the Turtle Mound Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. Taking a little spree to close by East Seelye Bay is a fine idea, naturally you could also take a look at Amik Impoundment if you're here; it's not far at all.
