Going for a hike along the Cutfoot Sioux National Recreation Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and Amik Lake Dam has good water scenery. A normal amount of rain falls here at Amik Lake; June is the wettest month with most rain; February is when it's the driest. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Amik Lake. Cutfoot Experimental Forest is a forest right next door to Amik Lake that you can go to, and on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Turtle Mound Trail.
