Dry warm beds await you at Gosh Dam Place, and if you came to camp O-NE-Gum-Me Campground is a wonderful spot to do that. Ames Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise. At Ames Lake throughout the months of summer highs are in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight       here at Ames Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are good places to look at along the Spur Lake Trail System; if you need a place to stay Hill Motel & Liquor is a glorious choice. There's good hiking along the Plum Creek Trail, and don't leave Ames Lake without first going for a hike along the Turtle Mound Trail. An average amount of precipitation falls at Ames Lake; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and February on the other                  hand is the driest. A lovely lake like Bass Lake close to Ames Lake is a delightful location to stop by.
