At Ambush Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 10's with temperatures at Ambush Lake dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. If the weather is wonderful here at Ambush Lake, you can go for a hike along the Gneiss Trail, and why not camp at Sawbill Campground       if you're here at Ambush Lake. A quick journey to Sea Gull Creek near Ambush Lake is a nice idea, and James Bay is around here and always magnificent to stop by. Ambush Lake gets a common amount of rainfall; most of the rain falls through August, and February is when it's the driest. Camping is available at Gunflint Pines, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Gneiss Lake Portage. So much exciting stuff to do at Ambush Lake, so little time.                  This lake is so wonderful.
