This lake is so wonderful. Super 8 Ely Minnesota is a good location to get some rest, and hiking along the Powwoun Trail is tremendous fun. Summertime highs at Alsike Lake regularly tend to be in the 70's; the nighttime is slightly chillier of course, generally in the 50's. Daytime highs       through the winter are in the 10's with temperatures at Alsike Lake dipping down into the-10's throughout winter nights. If you come at the right time of year, Stony River offers some glorious whitewater; why not take a refreshing hike along the Kelly Trail. Take a hike on the Snowbank Trail, and if you get bored of Alsike Lake you could also stop by nearby Shallow Lake. Alsike Lake gets a typical amount of rainfall; through June this area sees the most rain,                  and the driest month of the year is February. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Alsike Lake.
