At Lake Alma you can observe Pease Hill; camping at Sioux Portage Campground is always a delightful experience. St. Croix River is a great whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Lake Alma, and Lodge at Crooked Lake is a great site to get some rest. A good place to camp here at Lake Alma is Boulder Campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Markville       Snowmobile Trail. Just can't get enough of Lake Alma. After a long day outdoors Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a great place to spend a night or two, and since you're here, you could also pop by pretty Bullhead Lake. High temperatures at Lake Alma during the summertime months are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 10's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake Alma temperatures                  descend to the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. The Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail offers hiking at its best, and you can run the rapids of Lower Tamarack River. Lake Alma gets a typical amount of precipitation; June is when you get the most rain here while February is generally the driest month.
