Many people like to go to Lake Alf. Summertime at Lake Alf arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Lake Alf are in the-20's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Vermilion River. | | place for that. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Giants Ridge; going for a hike on the Beatty Portage is always a nice adventure. Go for a hike on the Taconite Trail; if you came to camp Lake Jeanette Campground is a good place to do that.
