Hiking along the Honeymoon Trail is delightful fun, and if you're here, you could also have a look at wonderful Caribou Lake. If you need a place to stay Caribou Highlands Lodge is a good choice, and Vat Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lake Agnes has to offer, you can camp at Crescent Lake Campground, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Cascade River. Two Island Lake Campground
 | 17 miles away I have only been there in the winter waiting for the mushers to come through (for the Beargease Marathon), it is where I want my ashes to be. I missed one year of the Beargrease race (1998) but the next year I was there at Two Island it was a full moon and it was snowing at the same time, could see down the trail like it was daylight but it was snowing....that was my sign...like I didn't fall in love with it before...this is a beautiful place, small camground but nice in the summer. jkf... |
