This lake is one of the great places here in the Mesabi Range. At Admiral Lake through the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 10's; night lows at Admiral Lake during the winter typically sink into the-10's. Really good skiing awaits you at Giants Ridge; do take a look at Little Sandy Lake, it's a delightful lake. It is very dry here at Admiral

| | Lake mostly; June is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. You can run the rapids of Little Fork River right next door to Admiral Lake. There's so much to do here at Admiral Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Midway Motel is a wonderful location for that. - Mt Iron, Mn is a great spot to spend a night or two. So many amusing things to do here in the Mesabi Range, too good to be true. There's some out of the ordinary stuff to see at Minntac Tailings Dike near Admiral Lake, and
Sandy Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. If you came to camp Eveleth Veteran's Park is a glorious spot to do that; Vermilion River is a good whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There is a fine hiking trail
next to Admiral Lake called the Taconite Trail; a great close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites MOUNTAIN IRON (VIRGINIA).
