At Zim Lake during the summertime months highs are in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Zim Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. A typical amount of rain falls here at Zim Lake; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.       Lakes? Sure, Lake Winyah is close at hand, and while you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Alpena. Fourmile Pond is a fine lake in the vicinity of Zim Lake, and there's tremendous hiking along the Devils Lake Trail. Thunder Bay RV Park and Campground is a great campground nearby, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Of Alpena is a fine choice. If you came for an overnight stay Campers Cove RV and Campground is a perfect site to                  camp, and dry warm beds await you at Alpena-Days Inn. If only every site had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great planet it would be.
