While you're here at Zim Lake you can play some golf at Alpena Golf Club, and after a long day outdoors Alpena-Days Inn is a good site to spend a night or two. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Devils Lake Trail, and Zim Lake is not the only place close by, Muskrat Farm Lake is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Campers Cove RV and Campground; dry       warm beds await you at Best Western Of Alpena. Zim Lake gets a typical amount of annual rain; during the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do right next door to Zim Lake. There are plenty of people from Alpena here at Zim Lake. At Zim Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 70's while overnight lows are generally in                  the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Zim Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights.
