If you're here at Lake of the Woods, you could go to Burkett Creek, and close by you locate the Caberfae Way Snowmobile Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. This is a fine vicinity for folks who like lakes. Lake Gitchegumee is a lake close by, and Econo Lodge Traverse City is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody       but if it's for you then we recommend Boardman River, and there are great sites to discover along the Lincoln Mills Snowmobile Trail. Going for a hike on the McKenzie Ski Trail is always a splendid adventure, and if you came to camp Mesick Trailer Park is a nice location to do that. There's whitewater on Pine River for all you adrenaline rush seekers; Lake of the Woods is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Burton Trailer Park is a splendid local                  campground. If you love the outdoors, you'll fancy Lake of the Woods. After a long day outdoors Crystal Mountain Resort and Spa is a great place to spend a night or two; Caberfae Peaks is a magnificent local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Lake of the Woods there are plenty of folks from Traverse City. Lake of the Woods is a good spot of normal rainfall; September is when you get the most rain here while February is commonly the driest month. High temperatures at Lake of the Woods during the warm days of summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's.
