Wood Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Oak Knoll Campground is a great local campground, and you'll hit upon a beautiful lake called North Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Ramada Inn Of Whitehall is a nice place to get some rest, and a striking lake like Burns Lake is a great spot to go to. From a rain point of view Wood Lake is a rather common place; September is when you get the most       rain here, and February is when it's the driest. If only every site had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great planet it would be. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Wood Lake; Cedar Creek Cycle Trail is a glorious local trail. Wood Lake is not far at all from Muskegon-Norton Shores; a nice place to camp here at Wood Lake is Muskegon Koa Kampground. The Horseshoe Lake Cycle Trail offers hiking at its best; if you need a site to stay Best Western                  Whitehall Inn is a nice choice. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Wood Lake. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's.
