One of the best things about Wood Lake is its proximity to Little Greenstone Beach; great hiking is available along the Minong Ridge Fire Manway. Spend the day on the beach at Greenstone Beach since you're here at Wood Lake, and hiking is a popular thing       to do around Wood Lake; Greenstone Ridge Trail is a good local trail. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Intermediate Lake, and camping at Wood Lake is wonderful fun, Malone Bay Campground is a wonderful local campground. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Wood Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Oak Street Inn. Summertime at Wood Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Through the                  winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Wood Lake dip into the 0's.
