Hiking is a popular thing to do around Wolf Lake; North Country National Scenic Trail is a glorious local trail, and Wolf Lake is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Old Grade Campground is a delightful place to camp nearby. Go for a hike on the Ward Hills Snowmobile Trail, and if you need a spot to stay Crystal Mountain Resort and Spa is a great choice. That right there is loads already, but it keeps       on going; Wolf Lake has it all. Paddling on Pine River is so much fun, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not go to Putman Lake. Through the summer at Wolf Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Wolf Lake plunge into the 10's. The annual precipitation here at Wolf Lake is about average; the month                  with most of the rain is September, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Lincoln Mills Snowmobile Trail.
