Wixom Lake offers fun for all ages all year round. Some of the homes have fantastic sandy beaches for swimming in the summer. Ice fishing and snowmobiling for winter fun! The Gladwin County Ice Carnival used to be held on the lake, many years ago, partly for safety reasons, the carnival was moved onto land across the road from where is had been held on the water. There are mud bogs and truck pulls and racing. There is also a lot of state land near the Wixom Lake area. It's a great area, whether you live here year round or just come to visit!

Michigan has many beautiful lakes and Wixom Lake is one of them. Take a little trip to Fowley Drain since you're here at Wixom Lake, and if you need a location to stay Midland Resort is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Mosquito Alley Truck Trail; a round of golf at nearby Gulley Golf Course is a delightful way to kill some time. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Guernsey Creek Trail.

| | Center Fireline Trail; a brilliant location to camp here at Wixom Lake is J and J's Landing. During your tour to Wixom Lake you'll meet some folks from Midland for sure, and there's some interesting stuff to catch a glimpse of at Edenville Dam in the neighborhood of Wixom Lake. For the duration of the warm months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Wixom Lake. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. All through | |

You just must have a thing about Wixom Lake. Camping is available at Flats Campground, and after a long day
outdoors Sleep Inn Midland is a delightful spot to spend a night or two. A normal amount of rain falls here at Wixom Lake; through the month of September you get the most rain around here while February is usually the driest month.
