     Michigan has many beautiful lakes and Wildwood Lake is one of them. After a long day outdoors Best Western Baraga Lakeside Inn is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. All through the warmest time of the year here at Wildwood Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Wildwood Lake  
   fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Lauterman Trail, and a magnificent nearby hotel is Americinn - Iron River, Mi.
Iron River Koa Kampground is a tremendous campground nearby, and there's whitewater on Brule River for all you adrenaline people. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Brule Mountain, and get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Paint River. Lake Fifteen is a nearby lake
 
               that you could have a look at, and Ski Brule is a very popular ski area close at hand.
Be careful coming to Wildwood Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Wildwood Lake is a glorious location to visit for more than one day, Iron County Pentoga Park is a glorious location to camp nearby; while you're here, you could also go to gorgeous Lake Sixteen. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Wildwood Lake; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February.

Whoohoo! My local ski hill on the internet, WOW! What can I say, Brule's got straight runs and wiggly runs, hard ones and easy ones, but they're all lots of fun. I've been here more times than I can remember and I keep coming back for more and more, year after year....

.... That untouched beauty remains only in a few unique areas left over from bygone days. Paint River Hills is truly one of those areas.

The highlight of Paint River Hills Campground is its hiking trail along the Paint River. The loop trail, about half-mile long, winds through and around the rock bluffs and hills that form the banks of the Paint River and for years has been the playground of local youngsters. The name “Paint River Hills” is the term used by locals to describe the location of the campground. Youngsters have named other areas such as Peeper Hollow, Big Rock Candy Mountain, White Pine Lookout, Fairy Tale Swamp, Rock Fort, Thistle Swamp and Camel Back Lookout.

As the trail leads you to several lookouts down the river identification signs greet you naming trees in native Ojibwa as well as Latin and English. You will wind through an old white cedar stand and see rare quartz rock outcroppings. You will have an opportunity to see abundant wildlife, which considers this area along the Paint River its sanctuary, and hear the sound of the Paint River as it winds its ...
