     If you need a location to stay Yarrow Golf & Conference Center is a great choice, and if you came for an overnight stay Old Orchard Campground is a delightful location to camp. Summertime at Whitman Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 30's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Whitman Lake fall into the 10's.  
   The amount of precipitation that falls at Whitman Lake is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is September; February meanwhile is the driest month. Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Whitman Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Shady Bend Camp Ground, and Eagle Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. While you're here at Whitman Lake you can play some golf
 
               at Custer Golf Course; a tremendous close by hotel is Fairfield Inn Battle Creek. While you're here at Whitman Lake, you could also visit stunning Harts Lake, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Battle Creek here.

Bittersweet has enormous snow-making capacity and is consistently the first to open in SW Michigan. Their vertical is only 350 ft, but that's about 100 more than any other resort in SW Michigan. As noted, their lift system is impressive, particularly the high speed detachable quad, but lines can get a little long on late December weekends. Their terrain park has a good variety of boxes, jumps, etc. Very friendly people....Yea you guys rock i love the snow...Ahh yes, Bittersweet Ski Area... Michigan skiing at it's very best. The drops in these part of the country are not that impressive but I think Bittersweet makes the most of it. I do recommend this ski area....
