Watassa Lake is right by the North Country National Scenic Trail, and a lake close by is Dollar Lake. That right there is plenty already, but it carries on; Watassa Lake has it all. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Watassa Lake; Woods Trail is a nice local trail. The yearly rainfall here at Watassa Lake is about average; during the month of September you get the most rain around here; the       driest month of the year is February. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Indian Trail; after a long day outdoors Manistee-Days Inn is a good location to spend a night or two.
