Camping at Camp Sea-Gull is always a good experience; in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bear River. Walloon Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; throughout the month of September you get the most rain around here; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at K O A Kampgrounds; for you golfers we recommend close by Crooked Tree Golf Club. All through the months of summer

| | here at Walloon Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Walloon Lake dip into the 10's. ski! Boyne Mountain is a good site to do that; you'll come across a pretty lake called Mud Lake. Everybody close by loves skiing at Nubs Nob, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Petoskey is a splendid place to spend a night or two.

They are allowed on the entire ski area and have a new terrain park with 12 features for their own private use.The new terrain park contains 2 flat 10' beginner rails as well as a 20' intermediate round rail. There are some challenging additions such as a beginner 16' battle ship kinked rail as well as a 16' intermediate rainbow rail. In addition, there are man-made and natural jib features such as barrels, and logs that can be used to slide or jump over or tap with skis or boards. Nordic enthusiasts will find the ''Midwest's best terrain'' for cross-country skiing. The 12 km of groomed and tracked trails are all clearly marked and range in difficulty from beginner to expert.
