It's always fun to stop by Wakeley Lake. Some nearby water includes Barker Creek, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Grayling is a tremendous choice. Wakeley Lake gets a common amount of yearly rainfall; September is the month that gets the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Valley Hotel and Conference Center is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. For the duration of the summertime here at Wakeley Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are mostly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Wakeley Lake.

Treetops Sylvan
 | 20 miles away 3 PHOTOS ...ill runs wind their way through the majestic hardwood forest that covers the 400-acre winter park. Snowboarders are welcome at Treetops. They are allowed on the entire ski area and have a new terrain park with 12 features for their own private use.The new terrain park contains 2 flat 10' beginner rails as well as a 20' intermediate round rail. There are some challenging additions such as a beginner 16' battle ship kinked rail as well as a 16' intermediate rainbow rail. In addition, there are man-made and natural jib features such as barrels, and logs that can be used to slide or jump over or tap with skis or boards. Nordic enthusiasts will find the ''Midwest's best terrain'' for cross-country skiing. The 12 km of groomed and tracked trails are all clearly marked and range in difficulty from beginner to expert. Treetops also offers extreme (snow) tubing. The tubing ride is available by 1.5 hour sessions for up to 30 people at a time. Advance reservations can be made for this exhilarating experience.
