     Paddling on Paint River is so much fun, and you can stay the night at Iron County Pentoga Park. Wagner Lake gets a common amount of annual rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. While you're here at Wagner Lake, you could also explore charming Chicagon Lake, and after a long day outdoors Americinn - Iron River, Mi is a great site to spend a night or two. Minnie Lake is a nearby lake that  
   you could pop by, and hey, Gotta ski right? Ski Brule is a brilliant spot to do that.
This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Wagner Creek, and what would winter be without some skiing at Brule Mountain. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun stuff just keep reading. Going for a hike along the Lauterman Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and Wagner Lake is a place with many visitors from Iron
 
               Mountain. This lake is so wonderful.
Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Brule River, and Wagner Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Iron River Koa Kampground is a great location to camp nearby. At Wagner Lake throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Wagner Lake temperatures sink to the 0's.

Whoohoo! My local ski hill on the internet, WOW! What can I say, Brule's got straight runs and wiggly runs, hard ones and easy ones, but they're all lots of fun. I've been here more times than I can remember and I keep coming back for more and more, year after year....

...he ground. That untouched beauty remains only in a few unique areas left over from bygone days. Paint River Hills is truly one of those areas.

The highlight of Paint River Hills Campground is its hiking trail along the Paint River. The loop trail, about half-mile long, winds through and around the rock bluffs and hills that form the banks of the Paint River and for years has been the playground of local youngsters. The name “Paint River Hills” is the term used by locals to describe the location of the campground. Youngsters have named other areas such as Peeper Hollow, Big Rock Candy Mountain, White Pine Lookout, Fairy Tale Swamp, Rock Fort, Thistle Swamp and Camel Back Lookout.

As the trail leads you to several lookouts down the river identification signs greet you naming trees in native Ojibwa as well as Latin and English. You will wind through an old white cedar stand and see rare quartz rock outcroppings.
