Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is a nice local destination here at Lake View; whitewater paddling is wonderful on Boardman River. This lake is so wonderful. Very scenic scenery and good skiing is what you get at Homestead; Lake View is great enough to spend more than a day at, Turtle Lake Campgrounds is a great local campground. Skiing at Crystal Mountain       is one of those things you just should do, and while you're here you can play some golf at Mistwood Golf Course. And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable stuff just keep reading. A magnificent place to camp here at Lake View is Sunnywoods Platte River, and if you need a spot to stay Paradise Hollow Resort is a fine choice. If you're visiting Lake View from Traverse City, you won't be the only one; Warner Hill is clearly visible from Lake View.                  Econo Lodge is a pleasant spot to get some rest, and you're perhaps addicted to lakes, Lake Ann is one of those close by. At Lake View through the long summer days highs are in the 70's; the night is somewhat chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Lake View are in the 10's.
